Remember those awesome 13 lb swag bags I mentioned in the Food Blog Forum recap post? You know, the one I said was THE best swag bag EVER? Well, one of you is going to get one!

The best thing? I think it was a pair of tickets to see the Scottish band The Proclaimers when I was in college, from a local radio station.
Hmmm…I actually cannot think of a prize that I have ever won. Once I thought I won a free lunch from Otter’s for my office, but those drawing are actually marketing tools for financial planners and the like :) I would LOVE the declare the swag bag as the best prize I have ever won!

when i was in the 6th grade i won the “Great Stocking Stuffer Giveaway” on Nickolodeon. Three huge boxes filled to the brim with games, barbies, action figures, a Nick themed swag- like a snow globe filled with slime instead of snow. seriously, i thought i was the COOLEST. Let me win this. something has to trump 1991 :)
The best thing I ever won was a Little Foot (from the Land Before Time!) stuffed animal from Pizza Hut when I was like 7 or 8. Seriously, that’s the only thing I’ve ever won so it is the best by default!

Best thing I ever won was most definitely a trip! About a year ago I stalked a radio station trying to win a trip to the Bahamas and I actually won! It was absolutly insane. I’ve never won anything near that glorious but it came at a time that me and my fiance really needed.
But hello a swag bag! As a foodie this is equally exciting!
Concert Tickets. May not have been my favorite choice of performer but it was still a fun time and I loved WINNING the tickets!!
This is terribly sad, and I’m not saying it b/c I think it’ll give me better chances of winning, but I honestly don’t think I’ve ever won anything: nothing at a carnival, fair, amusment park, radio call in show, or giveaway on line! I live vicarously through one of my friends who ALWAYS wins! The best gift she’s been given (IMO) was a year’s worth of movie passes!

The best prize I’ve ever won was VIP tickets to an Anthony Bourdain-Eric Ripert “Foodie Experience” (write-up here: http://www.closetobliss.com/?p=559)! The tickets were a giveaway by a now-defunct local blogger who couldn’t make it to the show, and to win, one simply had to email an entry. There was no limit placed on how many emails could come in for one person, so I had all my friends and family submit entries for me from their own email addresses – I had my heart set on winning! And, to add extra delight to making the tickets my own, I got to take my Dad, who helped spark my love for food from a very young age. It was amazing.

The best prize I ever won was a set of two tickets to the Preds wine festival last year and it came with 2 Reidel glasses and a wine accessory set. I hope I get a foodie swag bag to complement my wine kit!
I have seriously never won anything! Hah! One time when I was 8 I had the chance to win a cabbage patch kid in a contest against another girl. The contest was who could sit on and pop a balloon the fastest. I fell off the chair and the balloon floated away.. still traumatized to this day!
The best prize I ever won was a cruise around Japan. Won it in an essay contest when I was in the sixth grade!
