If you’ve been following my blog for a long time, you know that I go to a lot of events. You may also know that one of my absolute favorites of the entire year is Generous Helpings every May. They always have some of the best restaurants in Nashville participating, and it’s all for a great cause, Second Harvest Food Bank. Next week I’ll talk more about Generous Helpings in my “May Happenings” post, but today I simply must share a different, but related, event with you.
A bit lesser known, the Generous Helpings Patrons’ Party takes place a few days before the main event and it’s always a great lineup of chefs. A one-of-a-kind dining experience, there will be a cocktail hour followed by a six-course meal with incredible wine pairings.
I mean, check out the menu below. Hello!
As if that wasn’t enough, a patron ticket also includes admission (a $50 value) to the main event at City Winery on Thursday, May 12th, where you can enjoy tastings from 25 of Nashville’s favorite restaurants.

Also, I follow SH on Twitter!
The seared tuna from Etch sounds AMAZING!! Following SECOND HARVEST ;)
That dessert is everything!
The tuna looks fabulous; but let’s be real: all of it does!

Matt Bolus’ egg + grits + pepper oil. Mouth is watering now.
But excited for BJ’s apps too! ;-)
I tweeted!
The glazed beef cheeks sound crazy good! That’s what I’d be most excited for.
I’ll be there! Such a great organization.
Sooo hard to choose just one! Eeny, meeny, miney, moe….the dish that I know all of the ingredients is Josephine’s but I’m most intrigued and excited to try Etch’s tuna dish. And anything chocolate is a winner!
I really want them all. But….the seared tuna from Etch sounds heavenly.
And I already like Second Harvest on the fb!
i think I am most excited about the Compressed Melon, Lime Leaf Furikake, Aji Panca, Mango Butter and Wood Sorrel from Chef Daniel Herget because I haven’t been to Little Octopus yet but it is high on my list! =)
Just liked Second Harvest on Facebook! Woohoo!
They all look so delish! I can’t pick just one.

This all looks amazing!! So excited for Paige’s dessert! I liked second harvest on Facebook!!
I am most excited to try Chef Herget’s meal because I will not be googling any of the ingredients prior to partaking. Also, his wine pairing, Conundrum White, is entirely too perfect.
I’m most excited for Paige Yodanis’ chocolate cremeux!
I liked Second Harvest on Facebook :-)
And I just tweeted!
Thumbs Upped Second Harvest ☺
I am most excited to try Chef Little’s Glazed Beef Cheeks, because who doesn’t love a nice glazed beef cheek.
Second Harvest Liked !
Ricotta Agnolotti from Sinema! Mint is my perfect accent for pasta!!! I don’t have FB or Twitter, but I follow Second Harvest on Instagram :)
Deb’s seared tuna is probably what I would most look forward to feeling guilty about eating…since that sounds like it would be a visual masterpiece. I mean, I’d still eat it. And let’s be honest, probably not feel a bit of guilt. I’d pretend though. Not on Facebook, but I follow SH on Twitter and tweeted it out!
Wow so hard to choose but I loved the meal I had at 404 kitchen so I’d be excited to try matts dish!
I like second harvest on FB
Oh they all look so good but I will have to say the seared tuna! Also follow Second Harvest on Facebook. I’m not on Twitter.
I have been wanting to go to Little Octopus so I’d love to try their dish.
