Biryani and Beer

Sunday, April 3, 2016
8 pm

Family Wash
626A Main St
Nashville, TN 37206

Cost: $25 per person

My friend Vivek of VEA Supper Club is at it again, this time with biryani, which he describes as one of the great dishes of India, and one of his favorites dishes of all time. “At its heart, it is a beautiful dish of aromatic basmati rice that is layered with flavorful, spiced meat or vegetables. In India, there are many versions of biryani depending on where you are. Variables can include cuts of meat (chicken, goat, lamb and egg), the type of rice, different spice mixtures or add-ins, like cashews or raisins.”

His version for this Sunday’s dinner is inspired by many different biryani experiences, making it one that you do not want to miss!

There are two seatings, but note that the 6 pm seating is already sold out, so I would advise that you jump on the 8 pm seating as quickly as you can before it sells out too! To purchase tickets, click here.

Beer & Cheese

Tuesday, April 26, 2016
5:30 – 7:30 pm

Jackalope Brewery
701 8th Ave S
Nashville, TN 37203

Cost: $25 in advance, $30 at the door

Jackalope Brewing Company and The Bloomy Rind are coming together once again to benefit a great cause, the Tennessee Respite Coalition. This organization helps family caregivers (people who spend much of their time caring for family members in need such as parents with Alzheimer’s, spouses with Parkinson’s or children with special needs) by giving them much-needed time off.

As my own family has faced a situation in the past, and is facing another one in the future where an organization like this could greatly relieve some stress, this is near and dear to my heart and I would love to see them raise lots of money. Your $25 will get you unlimited samples of the beer and cheese pairings selected by Jackalope and Bloomy Rind, so come join me in eating some delicious cheese, drinking some fantastic beer, and know that you’re helping some families that will be forever grateful.
