The Cravory Cookies

Way back in September I visited San Diego. Remember that? When I wrote that post I had a little teaser at the end about a discovery I’d made there that I would share with you at a later date. I hadn’t really planned on it being quite this much later, but time got away from me…

Better late than never, right?

It’s been several years since I moved away from San Diego, so I always make sure I do my research before going for a visit. Sure, my SD friends are great about pointing out new places, but sometimes even they don’t know about a few of the smaller hidden gems. Case in point- The Cravory Cookies.

After reading many glowing reviews and then drooling over their list of crazy interesting flavors–Prosciutto and Goat Cheese, Mexican Hot Chocolate and Oatmeal Pear Fig, just to name a few– I was determined to track them down on my visit. Sure, I could order them online any time, but I knew from my research that I could find them live and in person at the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market or the La Jolla Open Aire Market. The Hillcrest market is pretty close to my friend’s downtown condo, so before she dropped me off at the airport to head back to Nashville, we made a quick stop.

And I boarded the plane with a dozen fresh Cravory cookies!

Of the bunch, the ultimate standouts for me were the Rosemary Balsamic and the Pancakes & Bacon.

With over 950 rotating flavors, they have something for everyone to enjoy, whether it be a basic Chocolate Chip or a more adventurous Salted Caramel Guinness. If you live anywhere other than the San Diego area, head over to their online shop to see what they’re offering this month. I’ve got a few friends with birthdays coming up soon and I have a feeling I’d make them very, very happy if a box of these arrived on their doorstep!
