I can’t believe this will be the 7th year for Music City Food & Wine, and I’ve had the pleasure of attending every year so far!  If you’ve never been and want to get an idea of what it’s all about, feel free to take a look back at all of my experiences: 2013 , 2014 , 2015,  2016,  2017, and 2018.

Celebrity chef demos and panel discussions run simultaneously with Grand Taste, so you can freely move back and forth between eating, drinking, and watching, never feeling like you’re missing out on anything. As you guys know, it has been super hot lately, and by the looks of the current forecast, there doesn’t seem to be much relief from that any time soon, so my advice is to dress in the lightest weight material you can possibly find this weekend.

Goo Goo Summer Chef Series draws to a close

As September winds down, so does our 5th annual Goo Goo Summer Chef Series! It was so much fun working with some of Nashville’s most talented pastry chefs this year. In case you missed who was featured, here’s the lineup: Kayla May of Josephine, Lisa Marie White of Marsh House, Rebekah Turshen from City House, Mathew Rice of Pastaria, Megan Williams from Etch, and Goo Goo Shop’s very own Mike Colón.

Mike’s unique creation made using ruby chocolate was the last to launch, and is currently still available for purchase at the Goo Goo Shop and online, so hurry and get one before they’re gone! For those not familiar, ruby chocolate was launched just 2 years ago but only made available in the United States in 2018. Marketed as the “fourth” type of chocolate alongside milk, dark, and white varieties, the flavor profile is sweet but slightly sour, with fruity notes. You need to try one!

If you’re heading to Music City Food + Wine Festival this weekend, you can actually try ALL of this year’s chef series premium flavors, as we’ll be bringing them all back and showcasing at the Goo Goo table during the Grand Taste. We’ll have 3 flavors to try on Friday, and the other 3 on Saturday, so be sure to drop by!
