Ayala’s Herbal Water Giveaway & Discount!

Here’s the thing. I don’t have a soft drink habit I’m trying to kick like many people do. For the most part, I enjoy drinking plain old water over any other form of beverage on a daily basis. But every now and then, I want something a little jazzier. If you’ve been reading Eat.Drink.Smile. for a while, you might remember that I really enjoy floral or herby flavors when it comes to my cocktails. So it only stands to reason that I would like those same types of flavors in my water.

When I stumbled upon Ayala’s Herbal Water website, I was completely intrigued. All of the flavors sounded just like something I would enjoy, and they were ZERO calories, 100% organic, with no artificial flavoring. This was definitely my kind of product!

So I did what any good Food & Drink Blogger would do- I contacted them about getting samples. Not only did they send me some free samples of their regular line of flavored waters, but they also asked me to try out their new sparkling waters. Oh boy. Now we’re talking. Sometimes, when I don’t want to drink alcohol, but I feel like having something fancy with dinner, I go for sparkling.

Can we say love at first sip? Mmmm. Tingly and refreshing, all three flavors delighted my palate, although I will say that for me, the Ginger Lemon Peel was the shining star. But keep in mind, I’m pretty much a sucker for any drink that has ginger. (Moscow Mule anyone?)

As much as I would have liked to hoard all of the samples for myself, I didn’t. I shared. I shared with some fellow food bloggers, and I shared with some friends. The response? Thumbs up all around. There was enthusiasm for all of the flavors, with a pretty even split in fan base. While I lean toward the ginger flavor, there were many comments about how refreshing and relaxing the lemongrass mint vanilla was, and how perfect the cinnamon orange peel would be for the holidays.

And that’s just the sparkling flavors. The still waters are just as fantastic, and come in 6 different flavors! I’m already planning to experiment with all of these for some creative cocktails very soon.

I guess I should tell you where you can buy them so you can see for yourself what I’m talking about. Here in Nashville, the Williamson Whole Foods in Cool Springs carries both lines, and the Green Hills store just started carrying the sparkling waters! Unfortunately, they don’t yet have the still waters, so if you’re there shopping, put a bug in the ear of one of the grocery team members. If enough of us ask, maybe they’ll wise up and stock them. For those of you outside of Nashville, check their website for a store location near you.

UPDATE for Nashville: one of my readers spotted both the still and sparkling waters at the Turnip Truck in the Gulch!

Of course, if you can’t find them locally, then there’s always the internet! Ordering them online at herbalwater.com is almost just as easy as picking them up at the store, and guess what? They not only offer free ground shipping, but they’re also priced almost exactly the same! At the Cool Springs Whole Foods, the still waters are sold by the bottle for $1.69. Online they are sold by the case of 12 for $24. When you compare, you’re looking at just a fraction more cost to order them online.

However, Ayala’s has allowed me to offer my readers a special, limited time discount, which will actually end up making it more inexpensive to order online! Now through November 30th, you can get $5 off one purchase in the online store by using this special coupon code:
