This Saturday you can get $5 baked goods from so many talented bakers and pastry chefs here in Nashville… Bang Candy Co., Goo Goo Cluster, City House, Baked on 8th, Sinema, and Killebrew are just a few that are participating in this one-day pop up bake sale.
Started in London in 2013, The Depressed Cake Shop desserts are all grey, black, or silver, as a delicious way to start an important conversation about depression, anxiety and other mental illnesses. Read more at depressedcakeshop.com.

The 7th Annual Yum!East is almost here! This event always features some of East Nashville’s best food and drink, and this year is no different. You’ll find some of my favorites: Greko, Pharmacy, Lyra, Five Points Pizza, Walden, Two Ten Jack, Lockeland Table, High Garden Tea, and Pied Piper Creamery, just to name a few.

The Local Taco is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this month, and in celebration, has returned to its roots – all 10 original tacos are back! I had a chance to try out ‘The Total Local’ package earlier this month, and let me tell you, it will not disappoint! I know I’m a little late in telling you about it, but never fear, it will be offered all month, so you still have plenty of time to take advantage of the deal.
“The Total Local” includes all 10 of the original tacos for just $30. Taco varieties include: Nashville hot chicken with poblano cream sauce, slaw and pickles; spicy shrimp with Boom Boom sauce and jalapeno slaw; fried fish with jalapeno tartar and pickled jalapenos; tequila lime chicken with verde sauce, lettuce and tomatoes; local BBQ with jalapeno slaw and house BBQ sauce; carnitas with chopped onion and cilantro on corn tortilla; Korean BBQ with seared sesame slaw and green onion; steak with pico de gallo and horseradish crema; and portabella mushroom with goat cheese, zucchini slaw and crispy fried onions. Yum!
