One of my favorite days of the year is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Everyone always seems to be in a great mood because we’re all looking forward to the long 4 day weekend ahead. Out of town friends and family begin to arrive, and the celebrating begins.

Since you’ll be hanging out at home the entire next day, it’s fun to hit the town on Wednesday night. One option on my radar is M.L. Rose’s “Welcome Back Wednesday.” Both locations will offer two-for-one beers from open to close, but the part that really caught my attention is the fun social media contest they’re going to host.

They’re asking that we submit a high school photo for a chance to win prizes.

Have you guys seen my high school hair?? Oh, you haven’t? Well, let’s just go ahead and get this over with.

Talk about a Throwback Thursday!

Photos can be uploaded to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, just tag M.L.Rose and use #WBWParty as well as #MLMelrose or #MLWest depending which location you frequent.

On Monday, November 23rd, M.L. Rose will name three finalists. The Grand Prize Winner will be voted on by the guests who attend the #WBWParty, and needs to be present to win. The grand prize winner will receive $250 ML gift card AND a dedicated space behind the ML bar where we will display their winning photo for a full year! 2nd place will receive a $50 ML gift card, and 3rd place will receive a $25 ML gift card.

When guests cast their vote on the night of the party, they will automatically be entered for a chance to win 1 of 3 prizes that will be handed out on Wednesday night.

Now go dig through your old photo albums and find that perfect pic. I’m looking forward to bangs, braces, mullets and more!

Burger of the Month and Late Night Dining

You may or may not know that M.L. Rose always has a burger of the month. (And their burgers have always been some of my favorite in town)

Well, November’s burger sounds incredible and I need to get in there soon to try it out. The Gobbler is a turkey burger on sweet potato bun with Kenny’s White Cheddar, cranberry sauce, and cornbread dressing made by Arnold’s Country Kitchen.  Arnold’s dressing on a burger? Yes, please!

Their beer partner of the month is Black Abbey, who will be on site at Welcome Back Wednesday, so get in there and get a burger and beer. Also, something to note… While M.L. Rose used to have a late night menu, they’ve done away with that and now offer the full menu open to close.  Hooray!
