Starbucks Free Pastry Day

A few weeks ago Starbucks launched a whole new line of healthier food offerings inspired by suggestions from their customers. Part of this change included reformulating 90 percent of their baked goods to make them free of high-fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, food coloring, and some artificial preservatives. Starbucks knows that tasting is believing, so tomorrow they are giving out their pastries- for FREE! Just bring this invitation to a participating U.S. store (or show it to a barista on your mobile device) and you’ll get a free pastry with the purchase of any beverage.

Pastries included in offer are: Muffins, Scones, Bagels, Croissants, Rolls, Breads, Pound Cakes, Morning Bun, Coffeecakes, Cheese Danish, Apple Fritter, Doughnuts, Tarts, Pies, Gluten Free Orange Valencia Cake, and the Tropical Paradise Bar. Described as “bursting with whole red raspberries, a hint of citrus and topped with a light dusting of buttery streusel”, the low-fat Red Raspberry Muffin sounds pretty tasty to me.
