Riffs Pairs Up with Corsair for Pop Up (and one of you gets free tickets!)
What happens when the chefs from one of Nashville’s finest food trucks teams up with Nashville’s award winning spirits distillery? Well, I can’t say for sure, but I’m guessing it’s going to be one hell of a party!
Riffs Fine Street Food is once again hosting a pop up restaurant, and this time, I get to break the exciting news that it will be held at Corsair Distillery in Marathon Village!
Not only that, but this pop up is going to feature a jam session of sorts between BJ and Carlos of Riffs and the Corsair mixologist. That’s right. They’ve all been collaborating on a cocktail for each course. We’re talking multiple courses, each paired with a Corsair inspired cocktail. There has even been some talk of liquid nitrogen being involved.
Hello people. This is good stuff.
Jerked Hopper Shrimp and Scallops with honeydew gazpacho, “bajan” style plantains and mango-habanero salsa from Riffs first pop up restaurant in March
I had the pleasure of attending Riffs first pop up restaurant a couple of months back and the food and drink were fantastic. The dishes were creative. The location was unique.
But this concept of teaming up with Corsair? Brilliant.
You don’t want to miss this one. Trust me!

On Sunday night I made Chicken and Waffles-PA Dutch Style. This was my favorite meal as a kid and was my first official attempt at it. I’m going to play around with more spices in the future. I stuck with salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary this time and it was wonderful.

The best thing I ate was Monday lunch at Moose Cafe in Asheville. The cafe is located at the Farmers Market and boasts being very farm to table – and the proof was in the food! Amazing. I had homemade chicken and dumplings with mac n cheese (I was carb loading) and baked Vidalia onion. Delicious.
Some home grown ripe strawberries. The kind that are juicy red and so sweet.

The best thing I’ve eaten lately….the vegan chocolate chip cookiewich from Sweet Betweens. Only asked for a few vegans in my 1 1/2 dozen order and we all fought over those. If all vegan food tastes that good, I’m sold. ;-)

Watermark is doing a KILLER halibut entree with lobster and celery mash potatoes. The shrimp and crab gelatte app is also absolutely amazing….. and I’m not a huge crab cake girl, they tend to be poorly done and overrated. NOT this one :)

Local Burger at Fido!!! I’ve been craving it….
A homemade beer bread. The melted butter adds a wonderful crunchy crust. I used a micro brew from a brewery in Indiana it worked great.
