July Wrap-Up: The Recipes
While I don’t often look closely at the details of my blog stats, every time I log in, I can easily see the most popular posts front and center on my dashboard. One thing I’ve been noticing for a while is the extraordinary interest in my Cauliflower Crust Pizza. That got me to wondering what other recipes people have been looking at this month, so I dug a little deeper. It was fun for me to see what you’re making (or at least contemplating), so I thought you might enjoy seeing it too! Here’s July’s Top 10 Recipe list:
- Cauliflower Crust Pizza
- Parmesan Cilantro Skillet Corn
- Grilled Peach and Mozzarella Salad
- Yogurt Ice Pops with Blackberries
- Chickpea, Tomato, and Cucumber Salad
- Flourless Chocolate and Peanut Butter Cake with Warm Chocolate Glaze
- Overnight Caramel French Toast
- Slow Cooker Pork Tacos with Black Bean Pico
- Slow Cooker Thai Style Peanut Pork
- Steeplechase Sangria
The cauliflower crust has become a staple for us. We have been freezing the leftovers for additional crusts and it has worked really well even after being frozen. Our favorite toppings are sundried tomatoes and green olives – mmmmm! But the other day we did a take on BBQ pizza with grilled chicken, bbq sauce, cooked red onion, cheddar cheese and bacon bits. Also we used half mozz and half shredded parm to help the crust get a little firmer. The parm seems to aid in that!
BTW – Love this blog and have passed it on to several people saying that every recipe I’ve ever tried of yours is A-MAZING!
Thank you Sara! When I put a recipe on my blog it’s only because I really loved it and hope that others enjoy it just as much. It makes me very, very happy to get feedback like this!
I haven’t tried to freeze the cauliflower crust, but now I’m definitely going to! I’m also going to try the half parm like you did. Thanks for the great tips and for passing along my blog to others!
I love the photo montage.
Thanks Janet! I don’t know why I haven’t thought to do something like that before…it was fun, so I might start doing a top recipe round up like this a few times a year :-)
i’ve made a version of the skillet corn twice in the past 10 days. i don’t work out as faithfully as you, so i eliminated the cream (well, and the cilantro ;). it’s such a great side dish to make with fresh, local corn.
next on my list is the slow cooker pork tacos. you’ve sang their praises enough that it’s time for me to try.
haha, I could stand to lay off the cream myself these days too ;-)
and yes, you DEFINITELY need to make those tacos. They have been a hit with every person I’ve served them to!
Im almost ambarrassed to admit it but I have that Thai pork in the slow cooker yet again today.
Glad to see Hedy’s recipe in the top 10. I’m telling you, it’s great being her friend!
Ooh, i love this idea! Hopefully you’ll do this recap every month :) I don’t know how i missed the flourless chocolate-peanut butter cake but that sucker is bookmarked now!
Beth, I just LOVE when you post recipes because I just KNOW they will be fantastic! I have made that skillet corn 3 or 4 times in the past month! The first time was for a bunch of friends, and it was a hit!!
You’re so sweet! I’m so glad to hear that the corn has been a hit!!
