At Generous Helpings a few weeks ago, I had what seemed like a dozen people come up to me and ask something like this: “Did you try the squash blossoms from F. Scott’s? They were AMAZING.” Unfortunately, my answer was “no, they ran out before I arrived”.

They were definitely a favorite dish of many that night, so I left the event with a nagging feeling that I had missed out on something very special. And just so you know – I don’t like missing out.

So a few days later when I saw someone on Twitter mention that they’d just had the most exceptional squash blossoms at F. Scott’s, I really couldn’t stand it any longer! Now that I knew they were serving them at the restaurant, I had to have them pronto.

No one was exaggerating about this dish. Wow. I think I could eat these every day.

Chef Kevin Ramquist impressed us with more than those blossoms though. I also had what was perhaps the best fried green tomatoes I’ve ever had in my entire life.

If you haven’t ever been to F. Scott’s, I highly suggest checking it out very soon, because you really don’t want to miss out on those special squash blossoms.

And I’ve got a little tip for you: go after 9 pm.

Why? Because every night of the week, food is half price after 9 pm in the dining room. That there is a deal my friends.

Those were DELICIOUS. My hubby and I both tried one and on the way home we were talking about our fav. tastes and that was one of ours! I’m glad you got to try them fresh and hot in multiples, one’s really not enough.

I’m so glad that so many people mentioned them to me that night, or when I randomly saw that tweet regarding them, I never would’ve thought twice about them. Easily one of the best things I’ve eaten this year!

Seriously. I’ve attempted making squash blossoms myself before, but after eating these I have to say that mine were very, very sad in comparison ;-)

Those look amazing! I haven’t been to F Scotts since my 13th birthday- perhaps it’s time to go back.

I like this Nine Dine situation. Didn’t even know about it!

Sweet deal, huh? We don’t often eat until late anyway, so waiting until 9 is not really a big deal for us!

Yeah, I love the F Scott’s squash blossoms a ton! I love F Scott’s for using so many local and local organic ingredients. It was F Scott’s who taught me how to make my own butter (super easy!), and since then I never buy butter. I love F Scott’s!
