Cost: $40 for Taste of Goo Goo; $75 for Secrets of Goo Goo (includes wine)
A few months ago I mentioned to you guys that I’d been working on launching a new chocolate class program at the Goo Goo Shop, and I’m so happy to report that it has been a big success! We’re booking a lot of networking happy hours, group experiences, corporate team building activities, and bachelorette parties — we’ve even got private groups booked into 2020!
Chocolate and Wine Pairing Class at the Goo Goo Shop, Nashville
But one thing I haven’t focused on much yet is our local market here in Nashville. Most of our attendees are visiting from out of town, which is great, but I want to see some of you too! We offer regularly scheduled classes every Thursday and Friday at 2 pm and 4:30 pm, and they’re open to the public, but I know most of you are likely at work during those times.
However, this month we’ve added several options to the class schedule so that you, my sweet readers, can enjoy some chocolate fun on the days surrounding the holiday of love – Valentine’s Day! Grab your honey, your BFF, or a whole group of friends and come join us.
Create decadent chocolate treats during chocolate classes at the Goo Goo Shop!
We’ve got 2 different class formats to choose from- one involves booze and one doesn’t. “Taste of Goo Goo” is more family friendly, so if you want to do something with the whole family and bring the kiddos along, this is the one for you.
If you’re looking for a friends’ night out, or a date night, then check out “Secrets of Goo Goo”. There will be wine. And more wine. Full descriptions of both class formats can be found here. Also on that same page, you can find the full February class schedule.
As an added incentive for our February wine classes, I’ve even set up a Lyft code so you don’t have to deal with downtown parking. Once you register for a Secrets of Goo Goo class, you’ll be emailed the code. Oh, and did I mention we just launched online ticketing?? You can purchase tickets here.
Book a private Goo Goo chocolate class with friends!
Can’t make it to any of the dates we’ve got on the calendar, but have a birthday or special celebration coming up? You can even book a private chocolate experience! Feel free to reach out to me directly and I can answer any questions, or you can fill out the form found here and someone will get back to you with info.

Mastering a chocolate creation and then eating it is a win-win!
I love the cooking classes at Whole Foods – especially when we get to eat what we created ;) Would love to take my chocolate loving mom to a class with me!
I’ve never participated in a culinary class, except for making pasta in 5th grade. From that experience, it was great to actually learn how to make something (supervised) and then eat the creation. I imagine that this is even better because it’s chocolate!
I haven’t formally taken any culinary class experiences but my younger brother is a chef, so I have had many hands-on ‘lessons’ with him! Favorite is probably on how to roast the perfect Thanksgiving turkey!
Would love to win this giveaway and treat my fiance to a date night!

I did a cooking class with the chef from Amerigo’s once and it was really fun. I always underestimate Amerigos.
I got to participate in a “sauce off” where teams had to name the 10 mystery ingredients and then use those ingredients to make a wing sauce. Complete with a panel of judges and a crowned winner! I would love to make this my new favorite culinary experience ?
I’ve never done an official cooking class before.. but life was my cooking class – especially life with my grandmother, favorite aunt (my only aunt), and mother. Since we lived outside of Nashville and they lived in Memphis, a lot of the reasons we got together and cooked were because of holidays. Our “Raymond” specialty was victorian taffy – straight sugar coma for days after we would make batches of this during the holidays. It was a cooking show every time in Grammy’s small kitchen in Memphis with plenty of applause from my brother and dad. “Never stop stirring” became our mantra. The spoons were our swords. And, that golden spec of perfection that came after many many many minutes was our victory.

I have never participated in a cooking class and neither has my husband. Googoo’s are his favorite so this would be so much fun!! When I buy him chocolate, Googoo’s are what I buy!!

I’ve never been to a culinary class, but I love GooGoos (esp the premium ones). I think this would be a fun unique way to spend Galentine’s Day.

Hi Beth! ?? Thanks for making this happen for everyone! I’ve never participated in a cooking class but I like to pretend I’m a gormet chef and I regularly think about quitting my job to go to culinary school. I’m a Nashville native and would love to see the workings behind a GooGoo. I’ve given a many as presents to out of town guests, even a box to my french host mother when I lived in France. (Ps she LOVED them!) Thanks a bunch!
Hi Beth I tweeted about your contest! I’ve never taken a culinary class before, but really enjoy cooking and baking. This sounds like an amazing experience being a Nashville native I appreciate GooGoos. I love both chocolate and wine (is there a better combo?)! I can’t think of a more perfect way for a single lady to spend Galentine’s day. Maybe I can woo a future date with the skills I could learn in this class :)
