October 2017 Food & Drink Happenings ~ Nashville
Brut Force Tour
Thursday, September 28th and Friday, September 29th, 2017
Butcher & Bee
902 Main Street
Nashville, TN 37206
I know, I know. This is an October happenings post and this particular event is taking place in September. Please forgive me! It totally missed my radar earlier this month but once I heard about it a few days ago, I knew I wanted to get it in front of you. My reservation is secured, because I was not about to let this opportunity slip by me.
For two nights only, Butcher & Bee will be hosting the team from Brut restaurant in Tel Aviv. They’ll be serving Modern Israeli fare prepared with local ingredients, plus Israeli wines. While I am by no means an expert when it comes to Israeli food, I do know that one of the best food experiences I’ve had in my life was at Shaya in New Orleans last year, so I’m hopeful that since I was blown away by that Israeli food, I will be just as impressed with this dinner.
Dinner will be served a la carte and reservations are highly recommended. While the chefs from Brut will be making some of their favorite dishes, there will also be some collaborations with Butcher & Bee Chef Bryan Lee Weaver, one of my favorites in town. It’s going to be good you guys! Hurry and get your reservation by visiting their website or calling (615) 226-3322.

Hi Beth! I’m a current Senior at Vanderbilt University and I’m working on a project to improve peanut butter jars. I have enjoyed reading your blog and share your love for peanut butter! I always have a hard time scooping out all of the peanut butter and we wanted to see if people like you would be interested in this type of jar. Do you ever find it difficult to scoop out peanut butter from the bottom of the jar? Would you potentially be interested in a jar with a lever (think of a push pop) that lets you scoop out all its contents?
