McCabe Pub Crawfish Boil

Saturday, April 4th, 2015
3 – 8 pm

McCabe Pub
4410 Murphy Rd
Nashville, TN 37209

Cost: $30

This is the time of year when I’m looking for an excuse to spend time outside every single day, so I’m really excited that outdoor events are starting to show up on my calendar.

One of the first for April is McCabe Pub’s third annual crawfish boil benefiting the LAM Foundation. LAM is an organization that seeks a cure for lymphangioleiomyomatosis, a rare lung disease that McCabe’s co-owner, Stefanie Dean Brown (pictured above), was diagnosed with in 2010.  The $30 ticket to the event includes all-you-can-eat crawfish, 3 drink tickets, live music and other entertainment.  Tickets are available online at www.mccabepub.com, and will also be available at the door on event day, cash or check only.

Pranom Pop-Up

Wednesday, April 15th, 2015

7 pm – midnight (or until sold out)

Greenhouse Bar
2211 Bandywood Dr
Nashville, TN 37215

Cost: $12/per bowl of Khao Soi

Pranom Pop-Up has served thousands of customers at some of Los Angeles’ trendiest bars, catered festivals, movie premieres, and TV shows. And now they’re coming to Nashville! Currently on a cross-country tour from LA to North Carolina, Pranom Pop-Up will set up shop in Green Hills at the Greenhouse Bar (which, I just learned, has been non-smoking since November- woohoo!)

Dream Kasestatad began the concept with just a bicycle, making Pad Thai from his apartment and delivering it to his friends and small businesses. As word spread, his catering business grew. When Kasestatad comes to Nashville, he’ll be preparing “authentic Khao Soi handed down from generations of family home-style cooking, with special beer and cocktail pairings offered to complement.”
Thai Esane (and my friend Vivek) turned me into a lover of Khao Soi, and this is in my neighborhood, so I’m absolutely looking forward to it!
