On the first Saturday of every month, from 6-9 pm, downtown Nashville is host to the First Saturday Art Crawl, receptions and art openings at the many galleries around the area. In addition to a chance to see some amazing art, you will be served free wine and refreshments, AND be provided free shuttles between the galleries! Sweet.

That alone would be a great cheap (free) date night, but now Morton’s is offering up a special to coincide with this event, making the evening even sweeter.

For the first time ever, Morton’s has their power hour pricing of $5 and $6 for their Bar Bites menu on Art Crawl Saturdays! This pricing is typically only available during the designated weekday hours of 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to close, so this is an awesome deal, making for a perfectly economical night on the town.

Mark your calendars now for upcoming Art Crawls, and make plans to stop by Morton’s before hitting the galleries:

September 3rd
October 1st
November 5th
December 3rd

The Morton’s Bar Bites menu includes these favorites:

Mini Prime Cheeseburger Trio

Four Petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches

Chicken Goujonettes

Jumbo Lump Crab, Spinach & Artichoke Dip served with toasted bread croutons.

Blue Cheese French Fries

Three Mini Crab Cakes

Iceberg Wedge Bites

*This deal will continue through the remainder of 2011

What a great idea for a great cheap date! I’ll be sending a link to my husband for sure.

Thanks for the reminder of this. Great idea for this weekend. We are into the “cheap” thing lately. And, the wedge looks awesome.
