Chipotle for FREE!

You won’t see much about chain restaurants or fast food on my blog because I don’t often frequent them. One of the only exceptions I make is Chipotle, and it certainly is not your typical fast food joint. Their vision of “Food with Integrity” means that they use fresh, sustainably grown and naturally raised ingredients. Despite the use of organic and local produce and dairy that’s free of added hormones, their food is still completely affordable.

For all these reasons, I’m happy to recommend them for a quick, healthy meal, and even go so far as suggest that maybe you make it a point to eat there in the next couple of days. Why?–because this week the Nashville locations will be taking part in the tax-free weekend in their own way.

If you eat at any Nashville Chipotle on Tuesday, August 3rd, or Wednesday, August 4th, save your receipt. Then go back any time during the upcoming tax-free weekend, August 6th – 8th and receive a free burrito, salad, order of tacos or bowl with your receipt. For FREE. It’s that simple.

My usual order is a salad with chicken or steak, loaded with all sorts of fresh salsa and pico!

For you parents out there, I also have another great deal for the month of August. Both Chipotle restaurants in Nashville just added a new Kid’s Menu last week, so the youngsters will now be able to choose from four tasty new menu items. As part of this launch, Chipotle will give kids a FREE Kid’s Meal every Sunday August 1 through August 22 when parents purchase a burrito, salad, burrito bowl or order of tacos!

New Chipotle Kids Menu:
*All items served with a small bag of chips and a choice of organic plain milk, organic chocolate milk, apple juice or a soda*

· Cheese Quesadilla ($2.95) – served with a side of rice, choice of beans

· Meat & Cheese Quesadilla ($3.50) – served with a side of rice

· Single Taco ($3.50) – a single crispy or soft taco filled with three items from the line (one naturally raised meat or guacamole, and two other ingredients from the line, like salsa and cheese)

· Taco Kit (they build it) ($3.95) – With this unique twist, Chipotle invites children to get creative with their food. Kids choose any three ingredients (one naturally raised meat or guacamole, and two other ingredients from the line, like salsa and cheese) and two crispy or two soft taco shells. From there, it’s up to kids to construct and enjoy their tacos.
