Saturday Bake Sale Alert

I suspect that this Saturday’s trip to the Nashville Farmers’ Market may have me loaded down with a few items a bit more calorie-laden than my typical healthy veggies.

Slow Food Nashville is having a bake sale! And this isn’t your typical bake sale- they’re bringing in the big guns. They’ve gathered delicious treats from a group of talented local chefs and bakers from places like Flyte, Provence, Marché, Fido, Patterson House, Martha Stamps Catering, F. Scott’s, Capitol Grille, and Drink Haus. There is absolutely no way I will be able to resist, and I don’t even want to try because it’s all for a good cause: 100% of the proceeds will go to Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale campaign to fight childhood hunger.

The sale starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m., or until all the goodies are gone, so be sure to get there early!
