Sushi Zooms into Hillsboro Village
Since spotting the sign on Belcourt a few weeks ago announcing the impending arrival of sushi to the Village, I’ve been incessantly Googling to find out the scoop. I’m delighted to announce the time has finally come- Zumi Sushi is officially opening the doors today! Zumi is the maiden venture of Vanderbilt graduate and fellow native Kentuckian Patrick Burke. To develop the menu, Patrick worked with Jason McConnell, owner of downtown Franklin’s Red Pony and Sol, which excites me VERY much. The Zumi concept is fresh, fast (counter ordering with runner service) and healthy with a clean, contemporary atmosphere- i.e., not the typical Japanese yard sale decor ;-)
I’m planning to check it out this weekend, but if you make it there before me, comment here and let me know what you think!
Hours:
11 a.m.- 9 p.m. Sunday thru Thursday
11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday
We’ve been eyeing that place ourselves! I can’t wait to hear how it is either. Gotta support a native Kentuckian, right? ;)
