Two events in one, this Les Dames D’Escoffier fundraiser includes a day-long VIP Farm Tour in Williamson County, which brings guests via the Nash Trash Tours bus out to the fields of four area farms—Delvin Farms; Tavalin Tails; Hatcher Dairy; Noble Springs—for a rare, in-person meet-and-greet with farmers on their own turf. This portion of the event includes light bites prepared by several Dame chefs, including Karla Ruiz, Maneet Chauhan, Emily Frith, Leland Riggan, and Crystal De Luna Bogan, as well as lunch, beverages, and transportation.
The second event, which immediately follows the farm tour, is a seated, multi-course, farm inspired dinner set inside Michael W. Smith’s Deer Valley Barn, prepared by local chefs including Les Dames member Margot McCormack, Hal Holden-Bache and Rebekah Turshen of City House and Lisa Marie White. The meal will showcase ingredients from area farms, including those on the tour, and will include beverages paired with each course.
Tickets may be purchased for either the full day or just the dinner. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
Note: Les Dames Nashville is pledging a large percentage of the proceeds of Tour de Farm 2018 towards Nashville’s Opportunity NOW initiative, which is an effort to put 10,000 Nashville youth, ages 14 to 24, into paid internships across the city.

If you’re not familiar with TRC, it’s a nonprofit that helps family caregivers, people who spend much of their time caring for family members in need (such as parents with Alzheimer’s, spouses with Parkinson’s or children with special needs), by giving them much-needed time off. My family has had firsthand experience with this, so I know how hard these caregivers work, and how desperately they need a break from time to time. Organizations like TRC are such a blessing, and all of the proceeds from this event go directly to help keep them running.

Chocolate Classes at the Goo Goo Shop
Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in April, various times
Goo Goo Shop & Dessert Bar
116 3rd Ave S
Nashville, TN 37201
Cost: $40 for Taste of Goo Goo; $75 for Secrets of Goo Goo (includes wine)
I’m happy to announce that the due to popular demand, we’ve expanded our chocolate class offering at the Goo Goo Shop. Starting this month, in addition to the Thursday and Friday classes we were already holding, Saturdays have been added to the regular schedule!
As I’ve mentioned previously, there are two different class formats to choose from- one involves booze and one doesn’t. “Taste of Goo Goo” is more family friendly, so if you want to do something with the whole family and bring the kiddos along, this is the one for you.
If you’re looking for a friends’ excursion, or a date night, then check out “Secrets of Goo Goo”. There will be wine. And more wine. Full descriptions of both class formats can be found here. Also on that same page, you can find the full April class schedule. If demand keeps up like it has, the class offerings will increase even further going into summer, so stay tuned!
Tickets for all classes can be purchased online here.
Can’t make it to any of the dates we’ve got on the calendar, but have a birthday or special celebration coming up? You can even book a private chocolate experience! Feel free to reach out to me directly and I can answer any questions, or you can fill out the form found here and someone will get back to you with info.
