That other big outdoor beer festival we have here in Nashville is smack dab in the hottest part of the summer, therefore, I’ve never been. I’ve heard it’s lots of fun, but sweltering heat is just not my thing.
An outdoor beer festival in April though? Now that I can do!
This one has my interest piqued for other reasons too. First, the Beer 101 Tent. Not only do you get to sample dozens and dozens of craft brews, but you’re also going to have the opportunity to learn from some of the masters during seminars and Q & A sessions. Who knows? After they teach you the basics of home brewing, you might decide to launch your own beer makin’ biz!
Speaking of launching a beer makin’ biz, have you heard about the girls of Jackalope, Nashville’s newest brewery? I’ve been following their progress via the Blogalope for a while now, so I was excited to learn that they’re going to be making their debut at the East Nashville Beer Fest! Now perhaps I can quit silently stalking them and actually say hello face to face.
And last but certainly not least, the eats. We’re going to need something to soak up all the booze we’ll be consuming, and hallelujah, we’re not going to be stuck with the typical festival food. With Nashville favorites like The Grilled Cheeserie, Mas Tacos, Cooper’s on Porter, and Pizza Buds, this food is gonna be good!
Okay, so you’re probably wondering why I’m posting this a month in advance. Well, there is a very good reason. I have a pretty strong feeling that this event is going to sell out, so I want to make sure that you all know about it and go ahead and grab some tickets before it’s too late! Like- now!

Uh oh, this has my name written all over it! And yes, I’m with you about the heat. I would love it if most food festivals were in the spring or fall. This sounds like so much fun!
Really want to go to this, but will sadly be out of town as I’m in DC that weekend! Hope it’s fun!
