Here are some exciting happenings around town that are on my “must do” list the next few days!

NFM Night Market
6:30 – 8 pm
Nashville Farmers’ Market

The Nashville Farmers’ Market recently hosted their first “night market”, and it was a huge hit, so they’re doing it again! Go shop, sample and sip on some wine (or if you’re looking for something really fun, grab a Boozeball or a Whiskey Firecracker from Fleur de Lis!) Head over to the NFM website for more details.

Gena Knox Demo and Cookbook Signing
11 am – 1 pm
Whole Foods- Green Hills
4021 Hillsboro Pike
Nashville, TN 37215
Gena Knox, the author of the new cookbook “Southern My Way: Simple Recipes, Fresh Flavors”, is coming to my neighborhood Whole Foods this weekend. I’m a sucker for cookbooks, and this one looks great. A peek inside reveals many awesome regional, seasonal recipes that I can’t wait to start making! I’ve actually had some experience with Gena’s recipes in the past, with fantastic results. Does anyone remember the Grilled Brie with Cranberries, Apricots, Pistachios and Honey Drizzle? Delicious.
Check out the Fire and Flavor website for more incredible recipes using Gena’s grilling planks, or learn more about Gena and her book tour on her personal website. Hope to see you on Saturday!

Happy Hour Meet & Greet with the Top Chefs
UPDATED TIME! gathering will now start around 7 pm!
Cha Chah
2013 Belmont Boulevard
Nashville, TN 37212
(615) 298-1430
Our hometown star chef, Arnold Myint, is going to be throwing back some cocktails with his friend and fellow cheftestant Kenny Gilbert next Monday at Cha Chah. For those of us that are Top Chef fans, this is one happy hour we wouldn’t dream of missing! Join us?
Can’t wait for the happy hour. I hope Arnold has some pea puree on his bar menu!
haha! he probably wants to stay far away from pea puree and anything with noodles ;-)
See you on Monday!
We’ll be there Monday night, too. I’m wondering if we need to make reservations…hrm.
Arnold said no reservations necessary, so I’m not planning to make one. I’m thinking it will be more of a stand around the bar kind of thing…
I bet if you want to sit down at a table for dinner it won’t be hard though since it’s a Monday night.
yay so excited for monday!
I know! We get to meet finally!! Oh, you probably are more excited about the Top Chef boys, huh ;-)
