The Ginger Sparkler
Last summer when I judged the Nashville Lifestyles’ Bartender Bash, I was introduced to Domaine de Canton, a French ginger liqueur comprised of baby ginger, cognac, Provençal honey, vanilla, and ginseng. With a subtle sweetness and spicy kick, I was instantly smitten.
It is now a staple in our home bar and I’ve enjoyed using it to create new cocktails. Actually, the liqueur is smooth enough to enjoy on its own or on the rocks, but recently I discovered this refreshing drink using just a few simple ingredients I just happened to have on hand:
The Ginger Sparkler
2 parts natural Sparkling Lemon Soda
1 part Domaine de Canton*
Squeeze of 1 fresh lemon wedge
Serve on the rocks
Garnish with candied ginger
It’s Memorial Day, so why not try something new? Head to the liquor store now and buy a bottle. You can thank me later.
*If you want the drink to be a bit stronger and more gingery, you can do equal parts liquer and soda. FYI- I purchase my Domaine de Canton at The Wine Chap
Just catching up on you blog after being gone to ATL. So glad I did! This stuff looks yummy! Any other great recipes you've found using this? I'd love to know!
I also make ginger martinis with it. Equal parts Domaine de Canton & vodka. Potent stuff ;-)
There are several recipes on their website that I want to try. After I test a few out, I'll let you know if there are any other winners!
Oh my gosh, I’m so in love with ginger and am going straight to my local liquor store to see if they can order this!! I’m loving your blog…so full of cool stuff! :)
I have also had this made with Canton and Efferve Sparkling Lemonade. Absolutely yummy for a summer drink!
I LOVE Canton. Try it with Bourbon! My staple is a really nice bourbon – Buffalo Trace or Eagle Rare with a dash of Domaine de Canton on the rocks. Makes you feel very smart! ;)
I love your recipes! Great for veggie people!
Thanks Abby!
