Otaku South EXTRA LARGE (a giveaway!)
Otaku South is undoubtedly one of the stars of the Nashville pop-up scene. I’ve been hearing raves about Sarah Gavigan’s roaming ramen shop from friends for several months now, and after a mention in Food & Wine magazine, then a special appearance at Catbird Seat, I’ve certainly been feeling like I’m missing out by not having attended one myself.
So I was excited to hear about this weekend’s Otaku South on steroids – Otaku South EXTRA LARGE!
Along with Sarah’s local team, there will be special guest chefs from around the country serving up their own distinctive styles of ramen as well as assorted yakitori skewers. Choices, choices – how will I ever decide?!

Now for some even more exciting news- Sarah is letting me give away tickets to TWO of my lucky readers! Both of the winners will get a set of 2 food tickets to be used at the event.

It’s been forever since I’ve had “real” ramen. But the last time I did was in Hawaii. I haven’t had a chance yet, but I definitely would love to try Otaku South ramen!
Followed and tweeted.
my best ramen experiences were growing up in college. too poor for anything else and I learned the versatility of ramen then. I could make a mac and cheese … a beef stroganoff … a stir fry… the skies the limit. The ultimate comfort food. It wasn’t until I spend a few years in Cali that I got introduced to the original and it wasnt love at first sit, just a continuation of a love affair that had been goin since long ago.
Did both twitter and FB!
My best ramen experience was actually when I made it myself for the first time. You can get as creative as you want with ramen and I did! I turned out so well that I think I made it twice a month for a while. :)

Would LOVE to try this! My son (6) is a huge fan of Japanese food and I am always trying to expose us to new dishes – this would be such a great date together!
