Savor Nashville Dinner & Challenge

In my last post, I mentioned Savor Nashville, but told you I’d be back with more details. Well, here I am!

Last year I attended the Savor Celebrity Chef Dinner and it was downright amazing: five courses, 10 chefs, and multiple bottles of wine. Afterward, I wrote up a blog post detailing it all and ended with a request… that everyone sock away their loose change for the next 11 months so you’d be able attend this year. Did you heed my request? I hope so!

This year Savor welcomes guest chefs Bruce Moffett from Charlotte, NC and James Boyce from Huntsville, AL.  They’ll be creating a high-end five course dinner, which Cultivate will be pairing with some of their incredible wines.

In addition to the fancy Saturday evening dinner, the Savor weekend includes a more casual Sunday afternoon Chef’s Challenge.

This year my company is a sponsor of both events, and as a part of that, is participating in a very special way at Sunday’s Challenge. Local chefs from around Nashville will be competing in a cook-off using their choice of three locally produced ingredients, one of which is Goo Goo Cluster! The other ingredients are Benton’s Bacon and Jack Daniel’s Honey. I can’t wait to see what the chefs come up with….and I’ll definitely be tasting every creation, because I’m one of the judges!

This year’s participating chefs include:

Jeremy Barlow from tayst, Sloco and Local Kitchen Catering
Thomas Cook from Prime 108
Brandon Frohne from Rutland Place Catering, Nashville Urban Gardeners
Giovannia Giosa from Porta Via
Matthew Lackey from Flyte World Dining
Deb Paquette from Etch
