Baby Update
I told myself I wouldn’t be one of those moms that posts a zillion pictures of her kid. And I promise, I’ll try not to. But hey, just a few every now and then is okay, right? He’s so darn cute, I can’t resist.
Plus, a few readers have asked to see new photos of him, so who am I to deny you? ;-)
These are from a photo shoot we did at 6 weeks. He turned 10 weeks yesterday, and he’s growing so much that already he looks very different!
Since he was born 4 weeks early, he was a tiny thing when we brought him home from the hospital, weighing in at 4 lbs 11 oz. I am happy to announce that this week he tipped the scales at 8 lbs 8 1/2 oz!
He is perfect! SOOOO HANDSOME!
Awww, thank you. We like to think so, but of course, who doesn’t think their own child is the most gorgeous thing on the planet? ;-)
Beth, in that first photo, Archer looks a lot like your mom!! I am more than happy to see photos of him any time!!! :-)
I do think he has the button nose from my mom’s side of the family, which is odd because I don’t have it, but I guess I have the gene, so he got it. He looked a lot like my nephew did as a newborn, but now people are starting to say they think he’s beginning to look like R. Only time will tell I guess!

Actually I recommend posting LOTS of pictures at this stage, because later on people won’t believe how tiny he used to be.
I wish I’d taken *more* pictures during the under-10-lbs months. I also wish I’d staged more comparison shots. I have a couple of W and my dog but I wish I’d started earlier so you could see how he grew in comparison to whatever item.
I’ve been doing pics in the same chair with a stuffed teddy bear next to him for comparison. I did it every week for the first 4 weeks, but from there I am going to switch to once every 4 weeks. So, I did Wks 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8 so far.
He seems so big to me now at 8 1/2 lbs but everyone else that sees him for the first time is like “oh, he’s so tiny!”. I’m sure you can relate!

Yeah, 8.5 lbs sounds tiny to everyone else until you see what 2, 3, or 4 looks like. Now he’s giant! Fun with perspectives… haha.

I stumbled upon your blog thru pinterest. I made the cauliflower pizza dough last night. It was great! We just had our third baby 4 months ago and your baby boy is beautiful! Who doesn’t like seeing pictures of babies?
