#10

Boisset Tasting Salon, Healdsburg

On our trip to wine country back in September, we stumbled upon this tasting room and ending up spending much more time (and money) than we probably should have. With so many wonderful French and California wines, we just couldn’t resist!

#9

Sparkling Shiraz

My #5 on the list was responsible for this new discovery. It’s now a staple in my house!

#8

The Farmer’s Daughter

A mixture of Square One vodka, freshly muddled mint, cucumber, lemon juice, ginger shrub, and ginger beer, this cocktail at Woodfire Grill was as good as the food!
.
#7

The Snow Cream Cocktail

I’m rather proud of this drink, my own creation, born during Nashville’s “Situation 2010”.

#6

Fido wine classes, Nashville

For this year, specifically the French wine class, but every one that I’ve taken in the past 2 years has been fantastic!

Oak Bar Chocolate and Wine Pairing, Nashville

The warm atmosphere of this lounge in the Hermitage Hotel makes it perfect for a special date or an evening of intimate conversation with a good friend. This chocolate and wine pairing puts the experience over the top!

#4

Domaine de Canton

Ginger, ginger, ginger. Yes, I love it. This beautiful bottle of liqueur now has a permanent place in my home bar.

#3

Nashville Lifestyles’ Bartender Bash

This was the second year I was fortunate enough to judge our local bartender competition and with 24 cocktails in front of me, it’s hard not to have fun! One drink stood out far and above all the rest this time though, and that was Riley Graham’s Peppered Vanilla Cocktail.

#2

Holland House Bar and Refuge, Nashville

No, I haven’t written about it yet, but it’s coming, I promise! This year Nashville got another bar that serves amazing artisanal cocktails. Many compare it to my favorite spot, and I have to say, if it was closer to my house, I’d probably be there just as much as I am to my #1…..

#1

The Patterson House, Nashville

Yes, two years in a row. The Patterson House still has my undying affection. Will I find something in 2011 to de-throne it??
